Jozua 20:9

SV	Dit nu zijn de steden, die bestemd waren voor al de kinderen Israëls, en voor den vreemdeling, die in het midden van henlieden verkeert, opdat derwaarts vluchte al wie een ziel slaat door dwaling; opdat hij niet sterve door de hand des bloedwrekers, totdat hij voor het aangezicht der vergadering gestaan zal hebben.
WLC	אֵ֣לֶּה הָיוּ֩ עָרֵ֨י הַמּֽוּעָדָ֜ה לְכֹ֣ל ׀ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל וְלַגֵּר֙ הַגָּ֣ר בְּתֹוכָ֔ם לָנ֣וּס שָׁ֔מָּה כָּל־מַכֵּה־נֶ֖פֶשׁ בִּשְׁגָגָ֑ה וְלֹ֣א יָמ֗וּת בְּיַד֙ גֹּאֵ֣ל הַדָּ֔ם עַד־עָמְדֹ֖ו לִפְנֵ֥י הָעֵדָֽה׃ פ
Trans.	’ēlleh hāyû ‘ārê hammû‘āḏâ ləḵōl bənê yiśərā’ēl wəlagēr hagār bəṯwōḵām lānûs šāmmâ kāl-makēh-nefeš bišəḡāḡâ wəlō’ yāmûṯ bəyaḏ gō’ēl hadām ‘aḏ-‘āməḏwō lifənê hā‘ēḏâ:

AC	ט אלה היו ערי המועדה לכל בני ישראל ולגר הגר בתוכם לנוס שמה כל מכה נפש בשגגה ולא ימות ביד גאל הדם עד עמדו לפני העדה {פ}
ASV	These were the appointed cities for all the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them, that whosoever killeth any person unwittingly might flee thither, and not die by the hand of the avenger of blood, until he stood before the congregation.
BE	These were the towns marked out for all the children of Israel and for the man from a strange country living among them, so that anyone causing the death of another in error, might go in flight there, and not be put to death by him who has the right of punishment for blood till he had come before the meeting of the people.
Darby	These were the cities appointed for all the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them, that whosoever smiteth any one mortally without intent might flee thither, and not die by the hand of the avenger of blood, until he stood before the assembly.
ELB05	Das waren die bestimmten Städte für alle Kinder Israel und für den Fremdling, der in ihrer Mitte weilte, auf daß dahin fliehe ein jeder, der jemand aus Versehen erschlagen würde, damit er nicht durch die Hand des Bluträchers sterbe, bis er vor der Gemeinde gestanden habe.
LSG	Telles furent les villes désignées pour tous les enfants d'Israël et pour l'étranger en séjour au milieu d'eux, afin que celui qui aurait tué quelqu'un involontairement pût s'y réfugier, et qu'il ne mourût pas de la main du vengeur du sang avant d'avoir comparu devant l'assemblée.
Sch	Dies waren die bestimmten Städte für alle Kinder Israel, auch für die Fremdlinge, die unter ihnen wohnten, damit dahin fliehen könne, wer eine Seele unvorsätzlich erschlagen hatte, daß er nicht sterbe durch die Hand des Bluträchers, ehe er vor der Gemeinde gestanden.
